The Kevin Quinn Foundation Charity match, an annual fundraising football game which was held in association with the Irish Defence Forces in memory of veteran Kevin, was held at Cathal Brugha Barracks last Sunday.
The Irish Defence Forces Football team followed up on last year’s win and retained the Kevin Quinn Perpetual Trophy at a rainy Cathal Brugha Barracks last weekend.
The highly anticipated annual charity fundraising football match, which pits a Defence Forces team against a Kevin Quinn XV compiled in memory of the late veteran, once again did its part in raising awareness and vital funds for veterans’ charity ONE (Óglaigh Náisiúnta na hÉireann / the Organisation of National Ex-Service Personnel).
ONE is a registered Irish veterans’ charity established to support ex-service personnel. Its primary objective is to support the needs of homeless Defence Forces personnel by the provision of accommodation in its veteran homes.
Last year over €12,000 was raised and donations are very welcome via the GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/kevin-quinn-foundation-charity-match
