CIS/Signal Corp is holding a 100 Year Anniversary Celebration

The Defence Forces CIS/Signal Corp is holding a 100 Year Anniversary Celebration. All Serving and retired members, who have served in a PDF/RDF CIS/Signal Corps Unit, are cordially invited.

The 100 Years Anniversary of the Irish Defence Forces Signal Corp.

Veterans: If you have served in the Signal Corp/CIS Corp of the DF / RDF you are invited to attend. Your service is part of this celebration.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the Signal /CIS Corp reunion.

PROGRAM FOR THE DAY

  • 10.00: Mass in St. Brigid Church for the deceased member of the Signal Corp to be celebrated by Fr. Seamus O’Rourke (retired Depot Signals).
  • 11.00 Coffee Ceannt NCO’s Mess.
  • 12.00 – 15.00: The Curragh Camp Museum will be opened. At 13.00 Comdt. Mick Moore Ret. Will give a walking tour of the Museum.
  • 15.00: Ceannt Square. Form up for the Military Parade, Retired members are encouraged to parade alongside troops. Neat smart dress with medals. Guests should be seated by 15.00. 15.15: Parade formed and 15.30 addressed by the Dir. CIS Col. M. Staunton.
  • 16.00: Equipment display and Capability presentation. There will be Group photos taken at Signal Workshops.
  • 17.30: BBQ at Ceannt NCO’s mess
  • 19.00: Refreshments and Slide show. This is the time to chat with those you have served with and UN Military memorabilia displayed in Ceannt NCO’S mess.
  • The Mess will close at 23.00.

Note:

  • Veterans may bring a designated driver.
  • Families of deceased members are invited to attend.
  • You are not required to attend all events.
  • There are no costs on the day.
