‘I Am A Veteran’ – Philip Coy

Through our new campaign, the Organisation of National Ex-Service Personnel (ONE) is highlighting our talented, highly skilled and diverse group of veterans, showcasing members who are making a difference in our communities and across Irish and international society.

Up next in our veteran’s series is Philip Coy. Philip served his country and the international community for 24 years. 8 years was spent in the Military Police and another 16 years was spent serving in the Transport Corps. Military tradition and service runs deep in the Coy family with his Grandfather, Father, 3 brothers, 6 uncles and most recently, his daughter serving.

Philip is immensely proud of his daughter who has followed her Dad into the military. Philip Coy is now the Assistant Parliamentary Secretary to Dr. Cathal Berry T.D and Chairperson of the Curragh Family Resource Centre In addition to being a community activist for veterans and serving DF members, Philip is also involved in advocating for and supporting underprivileged youth.

He is selfless, dedicated to his community and embodies all the positive qualities of a proud military veteran. We are honoured to count Busty amongst our members. Philip enjoyed every second of his military career and made friends for life.

Thank you for your service and for the sacrifices your family continues to make for Ireland, for the Defence Forces and for international peace.
