ReachActive is currently seeking to fill a range of roles in Electrical Engineering, Overhead Lines and Trenching and Ducting in locations across the Republic of Ireland.
This will involve working on Overhead Lines (MV, LV and HV)including inventory/quality check of Overhead Line Poles, design and build of Substations, and installation of underground Power Networks including Jointing and Testing.
The Company are looking to employ individuals who may be willing to consider a career change. He/she should have the aptitude and experience that would enable he/she to move into these roles. The roles we are looking to fill are:
Operative/OperationalRoles
- Machine/PlantOperators: The ability to operate excavation machinery such as 360/180 Degree Excavators, Site Dumpers, etc for trench excavation or pole erection. CSCS certification desirable but not a requirement
- Trainee Linesworker: An interest in outdoor working and basic mechanical aptitude, willingness to climb/work on both wooden poles and sheet tower structures. Experience on the OHL power industry on LV/MV/HV Networks is desirable but not essential
- Groundworker: An interest in outdoors work, experience on works done for the preparation, excavation, and reinstatement of different surfaces for construction works, experience in trenching and ducting works desirable but not essential
- Pole Inventory Patrollers: An interest in outdoor working, involving patrolling and identifying defects on ESB overhead lines network and recording details on a handheld device. Perform mapping, record keeping and data entry duties per standards including completion of required documentation. Previous experience on working on Overhead LineNetworks desirable but not essential.
- Grab Driver:Driving the vehicle in accordance with the rules of the road in urban / city environment and operation of grab to load and unload the vehicle. Must hold C Licence and Driver Digital tachograph Card and Current Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Experienced and certified in lorry mounted crane and grab operation
For those promising candidates with relevant experience, training and assessment would be provided to bring them to the standard required by the Company.
The role will require travelling to sites across Ireland occasional overnight stays as and when required, and due to the nature of our works there may be a requirement to cover out of hours works, e.g., weekends and some occasions nights. Where applicable the necessary allowance will be paid.
Salary for each role will be paid in accordance with skills and experience.
Management/AdministrativeRoles
- Planners: Create, maintain, review, and administer schedules and plans, project co-ordination to ensure the achievement of all deliverables in a timely manner, including attendance at site/office meetings where appropriate. Previous experience of planning and preparing outage areas for Overhead Lines Networks programme of works desirable but not essential.
- Project Managers: Manage and schedule works in accordance with project deliverables to meet client requirements, ensuring that all Health & Safety requirements are met, together with managing commercial project revenue, calculating cost, and preparing financial documents/files. Managing the project team to implement the agreed programmes, experience of working in the Power Network industry desirable but not essential
- Quantity Surveyors: To co-ordinate and support all projects ensuring that all financial reporting, control measures and surveying duties throughout the life of all projects undertaken, are carried out in accordance with the Company’s procedures. Experience of working in the Power Network industry desirable but not essential
- HSQE Advisor: Provide day to day advice and support to project site management, supervisors, and contractors on HSQE issues, and undertake site audits in accordance with the integrated audit plan. He/she must have strong health, safety, quality and environmental experience and knowledge as well as experience and knowledge on various standards, procedures and legislation relating to Ireland. Experience of working in the Power Network industry desirable but not essential
