Due to continued growth in our in-house HGV maintenance workshop operation at Baldonnell, Dublin, NVD have a position for an experienced HGV mechanic. The ideal candidate will have a ”can do attitude” and good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.
• Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.
• Assist with apprenticeship training.
• Essential Skills and Experience
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.
• Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.
• Ideally have experience working with basic hydraulic systems.

• Organised.
• Self-motivated.
• Strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn and share knowledge.
• Flexible.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and focused.
• Successful candidates must hold a formal qualification ie; National Craft Certificate or City and Guilds level 3 in vehicle repairs or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience with the maintenance of HGV trucks and trailers.

Job Types: Full Time (4 x Day working week with flexible start / finish times roster).

Expected start date: Immediate

Rate: €26.50 per hour
