ONE’s Band of Sisters are hitting the road again to take part in the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon on June 2nd 2024 in Dublin.

In September last, 15 women aged between their early 30s up to late 60s, ‘rucked’ (walking in combats and boots, carrying backpacks) from Áras An Uachtarain in the Phoenix Park to McKee Barracks to attend the ONE Annual Convention in their ‘Rucking it to Convention event, raising over €3,000.

ONE – Oglaigh Náisiúnta na hÉireann (or the Organisation of National Ex-Service Personnel) – is a registered Irish charity offering housing and support for Defence Forces’ veterans, with the ultimate goal of accessing permanent accommodation, improving mental health, and preventing future homelessness.

ONE’s services are available to ALL veterans of the Defence Forces, while also facilitating homeless veterans from other countries living in Ireland, from time to time. ONE’s mission is to “No Irish Veteran Left Behind”.
