The Defence Forces Confidential Contact Person (CCP)

On 6 October 2021 Minister for Foreign Affairs & Defence, Mr Simon Coveney, TD, announced interim support measures for both male and female members of the Defence Forces, past or present, who have been affected by unacceptable behaviour in the workplace such as bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination or sexual misconduct of any kind. The Minister announced that a totally independent organisation, Raiseaconcern, has been appointed as a Confidential Contact Person (CCP) for both serving and former members of the Defence Forces. The role of the CCP is to assist persons who have been victims of such behaviour to report it in a safe, supportive, independent environment. The CCP will also guide such persons to any support services they may need.
