Virgin Media News – “It’s the stark reality some veterans face when they leave the Defence Forces, after a life of service many find it hard to adjust…”

Camouflage inspired by the unforgiving streets of Ireland designed to help veterans survive them.

Hope Couture’ is a clothing line inspired by the laneways, alleyways and streets of Ireland. It takes a soldier’s most recognisable visual element – their camouflage – and creates a new uniform for veterans that highlights their struggles as they battle homelessness and gives them the hope to escape it. By showcasing the harsh realities of their lives on the streets ONE hope to shine a light on the lack of support given to members of the Defence Forces when they leave a life of service.

At the heart of “Hope Couture” is a unique design element that has the potential to help its wearer actually escape homelessness. QR codes have been integrated into the designs, allowing anyone who comes in contact with the patterns to instantly donate to ONE with their smartphones.
