ONE Band of Sisters met with Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill Minister of State with responsibility for European Affairs and Defence on 27th of August 2024. Present were Brigitta O’Doherty, Deidre Carbery, Tracy Connolly, Audra Larkin, Sinead Black, Linda Buckely, Tanya Barrett, Paula Durkin, Jennifer Gaffeney, Jacinta Canning & Sarah Walshe. A lengthy discussion took place regarding life after service and the needs of female Veterans as they transition from Serving personnel to retirement.

ONE`s Primary objective is to support the needs of Irish Veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless and other Veterans in need of such domestic accommodation in Veterans homes and the provision of other advice and support to Veterans, in particular Mental Health advice through it’s nationwide network of Branches and Veterans support centres. see ONE-Veterans.Org for more information.
