16 ladies are participating in this afternoon’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon (June 2nd) in Dublin.

They are the ONE Band of Sisters and Patsy and Susan Flavin – we wish them all the very best as they help raise much-needed funds and bring awareness to our homeless veterans and those who need support.

So far, combined they have raised over €2,000 please help if you can.

Last September, 15 women aged between their early 30s to late 60s, ‘rucked’ (walking in combats and boots, carrying backpacks) from Áras An Uachtarain in the Phoenix Park to McKee Barracks to attend the ONE Annual Convention in their ‘Rucking it to Convention event, raising over €3,000.

ONE’s primary objective is to support the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless and other veterans in need of such domestic accommodation in its Veterans’ Homes and the provision of other advice and support to veterans, in particular Mental Health advice, through its nationwide network of Branches and Veterans’ Support Centres.
