Earlier today 1 Bde Cav Sqn presented large donations to Beaumont Hospital Foundation and ONE Veterans Charity to show their appreciation to the hospital, its staff and to ONE in providing quality care to Defence Forces members and Veterans. The Donations resulted from raising €5,000, where 1 Bde Cav Sqn completed a continuous 24-hour charity run on the 16th May 2024.

The Beaumont Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the hospital in providing vital equipment and services improving the quality of care given to its patients and their families. Beaumont Hospital provides not only emergency care but a wide variety of specialist services that members of the Defence Forces both past and present have received.

Oglaigh Náisiúnta na hEireann (ONE) primary objective is to support the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless and other veterans in need of such domestic accommodation in its Veterans Homes and the provision of other advice and support to veterans, in particular Mental Health advice, through its nationwide network of Branches and Veterans Support Centres.
