International Police Association Pistol Club donates to ONE

Thank you to the members of the International Police Association (IPA) Pistol Club for their generous €250 donation to ONE’s Fuchsia Appeal.

Pictured are Jim Mc Eneaney, the Chairperson of ONE’s Michael McNeela (Dundalk) Branch accepting the donation from IPA Pistol Club’s representative Niell O’Malley.

The IPA Pistol Club is open to new members all year round. Any person who is a member of the International Police Association and is a serving or reserve member of An Garda Síochána or a retired member of An Garda Síochána or a serving member, or a retired member of another police force living in Ireland is welcome to join. www.ipapistolclub.com

ONE supports the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless veterans in its Veterans’ Homes and the provision of other advice and support to veterans through its nationwide network of 35 Branches and 15 Veteran Support Centres.

Our first home opened in response to a number of veterans dying on the streets of Dublin. Since then, we’ve helped over 1,000 homeless veterans from all over Ireland who could have faced the same situation. Set against Ireland’s current homelessness crisis, the services of ONE are more vital than ever.

We currently provide almost 20,000 bed nights every year, between Dublin (35 bedrooms), Letterkenny (5 bedrooms), Athlone (6 bedrooms) and Cobh (5 bedrooms), and our Cork City House (6 bedrooms) is being planned, leading to the availability of 57 bedrooms nationwide for homeless veterans.
