Jim Gavin, famous for his exploits on the field as a right half-forward for the Dublin football team that won an All-Ireland in 1995 and for managing Dublin to 6 All-Ireland titles, including a historic 5 in a row (2015-2019), gives his support to the Jadotville Challenge.
The Jadotville Challenge commemorates the 60th Anniversary of the Jadotville Siege and will also raise funds for ONE’s services to Homeless Veterans.

Jim joined the Defence Forces in 1990 and served for 20 years as a pilot in the Air Corps. He retired in 2010 as a Commandant and Chief Flying Instructor. During his time in the Defence Forces Jim also served with the United Nations in the Central African Republic and Chad (MINURCAT).
Jim now a Veteran works as Acting Director in the Safety Regulation Directorate of the Irish Aviation Authority.
