Óglaigh Náisiúnta na hÉireann (ONE) current services cost approximately €1.5M annually, excluding capital (building) costs. We currently receive approximately 44% in State funding which means that we have to raise approximately 56% annually to support service provision. All donations received are deeply appreciated.

Veterans don’t choose to be homeless or to suffer from Mental Health issues. Choice by definition comprises two key elements: right and opportunity. ONE continues to need your assistance to return those rights and opportunities for housing and other support services to our veterans as we strive to ensure that: No Irish Veteran is Left Behind.

OUR VETERANS NEED YOUR HELP
Our main national fundraising campaign is the Fuchsia Appeal. The Fuchsia Flower was chosen as it is grown throughout Ireland and is commonly known as Deora Dé or God’s Tears in the West of Ireland.

The purpose of the Fuchsia Appeal is to raise funds to enable Óglaigh Náisiúnta na hÉireann (ONE) to house homeless veterans and to provide other support services, including mental health advice, to veterans of the Irish Defence Forces.

The Fuchsia Appeal is a fundraising emblem, a badge of remembrance and a symbol to honour those currently serving in the Defence Forces.

ONE’s primary objective is to support the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless and other veterans in need of such domestic accommodation in Veterans Homes and the provision of other advice and support to veterans, in particular Mental Health advice, through its nationwide network of Branches and Veteran Support Centres.
