Riu Plaza the Gresham Hotel is a landmark property in the heart of Dublin, steeped in history, renowned for providing the highest standard of service to our guests. 

Our exciting redevelopment programme has provided a new opportunity to join our Front Office team as a full-time Door Person. (40 hours per week)

This role is the face of the hotel, providing a warm and authentic welcome to our guests.

The role requires:

• Strong communication skills
• A good knowledge of the area and the country in general, preferred
• A passion for working on team as well as autonomously
• Requires very strong communication skills, fluency in English is a must.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding job which includes regular lifting and a lot of walking.
• Excellent personal fitness required.
• Must be able to regularly lift baggage and luggage.
• Must have a passion for delivering excellent service

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Welcome guests on arrival and assist with their luggage
• Maintain frequent contact with regular Guests and visitors
• Keep up to date on all hotel services as well as VIPs and special events
• Be knowledgeable about external locations, attractions, and landmarks in the vicinity
• Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service
• Open doors and assist guests/visitors.
• Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities,
• Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and Assist with luggage storage and retrieval of same
• Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors

Salary: €29,120 per annum

Role is subject to a 6 month probation period
