If you’re looking to upskill and pursue a new career in the IT industry, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are proud to announce the launch of the VMware Veterans IT Upskilling Course in Ireland, which is specifically designed for veterans and partners of veterans based in Ireland who want to develop their technical skills and explore new career opportunities. 

This course is perfect for anyone who is currently unemployed or underemployed and seeking a change of career.

The course will run for 12 weeks and will be conducted remotely, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your own home. All training will be provided for free, and you’ll receive technical training in operating systems, networking, virtualisation, and troubleshooting. Additionally, you’ll receive coaching, customer handling, project management, and soft skills training to help you prepare for a new career.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you’ll need access to a computer and a broadband connection, as well as a commitment to attend the full 12 weeks of training. You must also have served in a permanent or reserve role in the defence forces, or be a partner of someone who has.

The aim of this course is to provide you with the necessary skills to pursue a successful career in IT. No previous IT work experience is needed. We’ll provide assistance in searching for suitable roles across many companies in Ireland, helping you to find a job that suits your skills and interests.

The Veterans IT Upskilling Course being run by VMware in Ireland is an excellent opportunity for you to gain new skills, and network with other veterans as they take the same journey.

Details:
Applications will open on the 5th of April and will be available until the 17th of April 2023. Details of the application process will be posted on the 5th of April.
The start date of the course is Tuesday the 16th of May and will run for 12 weeks, finishing on Thursday the 3rd of August. Training will be between 18:00 and 21:00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
