Five members of the Defence Forces are planning on walking from Dublin to Galway over a number of days in August, and are starting with a 5km fundraiser on Sunday, July 16th, in St. Coca AC Track, Kilcock (Timings TBC).

On the 21st of August, they will start from Ashtown Gate on the Royal Canal, Dublin on a loaded march to Renmore in Galway. The route will take in the Royal Canal Greenway to Athlone and then on to Galway, approx 213km.

They are doing this for two charities, the Irish Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and the Veterans Charity Organisation of National Ex-Service Personnel (ONE).
