€3,696 Donation from Google Employees

We would like to thank Deirdre Carbery and her Google colleagues who collectively made a generous donation of €3,696 to ONE’s Fuchsia Appeal, to support our homeless veterans and veterans who may be struggling.

ONE’s primary objective is to support the needs of Irish veterans by the provision of accommodation to homeless and other veterans in need of such domestic accommodation in its Veterans’ Homes and the provision of other advice and support to veterans, in particular Mental Health advice, through its nationwide network of Branches and Veterans’ Support Centres. Visit our website for more info.

Google is proud to call Ireland home to one of our data centres. Dublin has been home to Google’s European headquarters for many years now, and we’re proud to have built one of our data centres in the city, too. In September 2011, we announced that we would invest €75 million to convert a warehouse on an industrial site in West Dublin into our third energy-efficient data centre in Europe. To date, we’ve invested approximately €500 million to build and operate data centres on our Dublin site.

At Google, we’re committed to playing a positive role in every community in which we operate around the world. Through grants and local initiatives that utilise our tools and expertise, we’re working to help businesses, educational institutions, community collaboratives, nonprofits, and individuals create and thrive in a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.
